I don't think this protein tastes quite as bad as everyone says, but that's not to say it tastes good either. I did actually like the taste of it when I took it post workout mixed with dextrose.
I'm only giving this product a rating of 1 because it doesn't taste that great and because of the fact that this "superior" protein doesn't work any better than WPC or WPI. Not to mention it's not very cost efficient and doesn't live up to any of AST Research's bogus claims.
I actually did my own personal trial run to see if this protein worked any better than Optimum Nutrition's. I simply substituted my normal servings of Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey with VP2. That's 4 servings on my workout days. I took 2 servings post workout and another 2 sevings added to a couple of my whole food meals. On my non workout days I consumed 3 servings spread out with my meals. After 36 days I didn't notice any extra muscle mass or fat loss than I normally would. So AST's claims of VP2 being some superior muscle building protein is pure B.S. Save yourself a lot of money and don't bother with this garbage. It's not any more effective than the other Whey proteins on the market. |
