I can see why this wouldn't be the most popular supplement in the world, and perhaps why some folks are giving it a 1.
1) It takes 2-3 weeks for it to kick in. Which means you can damn near be done with the first bottle before you see any positive effects. 2) They recommend making pretty dramatic changes to your diet (500-1000 more calories/ restricted fish intake) and your diet has to be reasonably clean. 3) You must buy two 50 dollar bottles to complete a cycle. 4) The cycle's relatively long. 5) There can be nagging side effects.
All in all, it's the most demanding supplement I've ever taken. Is it worth it? I'd say yes, but only if you're prepared to make the sacrifices.
As far as how effective my cycle was, I'd rate it a 3.5 but I believe it had potential to be a 5. I was sick for all of the 2nd week and half of the 3rd, in which I completely fell off my diet and training regiment. I think X-Factor may have exasperated my sickness but there's no way to be sure. If it wasn't for my cold though, there's no doubt my cycle would have been more successful.
Furthermore, I did some travelling during my last week, causing my diet to be less than great for the tail end of the cycle.
I was pretty happy with my results despite all that. Overall, I gains 5 pounds of muscle mass (which is damn good for me); gaining a pound a week after the first month. Strength increases across the board as well.
So I'd recommend this product. But be prepared for the discipline and dedication necessary. I know I'll be better equipped next time.
